Take time to escape life’s demands…
Posted by Jacky Baken on March 28, 2010
Last night I started reading a small book that talks about “the Great Outdoors”. Along with what is written, beautiful paintings decorate the pages. Psalm 104 was copied into this book, and then the paintings started to speak.
This post is just short. Life is demanding, always something else to be done, always something that is expected from us.
So, all I want to say to you and to myself today is this: just let everything go now and then and just take time to think and be still and admire what God had made for us to enjoy! Just take time to pay attention to the most important ingredient of our lives, His splendor and the quiet beauty of His Creation that He made for us to admire and enjoy!!!
Love, Jacky
(also check my new website www.beaconmessages.com ) Most is in Dutch, but that will change soon!

Good afternoon. Wow; it’s been a long time since I’ve been here. I just went to the blog surfer, seemingly by accident (I never use it anymore) and saw that you had just posted. This is a very important admonition that you mention. We are oftentimes so pinned down by the goings on of this present world that we fail to just be still and know that God is. This is one of the benefits to working second shift. I get home after midnight and the whole world seems to be asleep (there’s an observation) It’s just me, the Lord Jesus, and billions of stars overhead declaring that God fills the heavens and the earth.
Thanks for taking time to offer up your thoughts here. Blessings always in Jesus name.
